Man suspected of abandoning burning truck in jail

A 22-year-old shirtless man found himself behind bars Monday morning after officials said he abandoned a burning Seguin work truck on the side of Interstate 10 near Boerne.

The case began shortly before 9:45 a.m. after a woman reported seeing a Ford F-350 partially aflame with all doors ajar on the eastbound side of the interstate just before the Waring exit.

Gonzalo Martinez of Seguin is charged with possession of less than a gram of a Penalty Group 1 substance, according to records. More details including bond were not available by press time.
