The 2022-23 academic year begins on Wednesday for the Boerne Independent School District, and with it comes some security and safety updates to all campuses and facilities.

District administration sent an email to all parents last week explaining the updates, and The Star was sent a copy of the information.

“Because the safety of our students, staff and guests isour most important priority at Boerne ISD, the review of district and campus safety and security protocols is an ever-evolving process,” the email read.
