Paul John Rendon, 84, of Boerne, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2022. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Holt & Holt Funeral Home, with a recitation of the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM, also at Holt & Holt Funeral Home. Committal will follow at a later date.
Paul was born December 27, 1937 in Blanco County, Texas to Dionisio and Romona Rendon. Paul (Dad) as he was known to many lost his parents at a very young age, he lived with his uncle Tiburcio until he was 15. At that time, he began working for a Ford Dealership for the next 14 years which gave him the foundation for his future career as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He worked for HB Zachary for 32 years throughout the State of Texas on many construction projects. He enjoyed watching old English and Spanish western movies, his favorite actor was John Wayne and his favorite musician was Vicente Fernandez. After he retired the creative part of him came out, he began creating Crucifixes of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which he gave to many family members and friends. He was a very well-respected member of our community and loved by many even beyond his family. When he was home he had his favorite spots to sit inside and outside the house. In summary, he will be missed and his memory will live within us forever.
