Ryan Cagle left us for heaven, July 21, 2025, at the age of 43. He was born in Victoria, Texas, on Feb. 13, 1982. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Linda Cagle-Currie, his uncle Bruce Cagle, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Ryan spent most of his youth in Corpus Christi, and graduated from Flour Bluff High School. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, friend and an amazing surfer.

He was a kind, generous and loving soul who surfed all over the world, most recently, in Australia. At a very young age, Ryan competed in surfing contests across Texas, Florida, California and Hawaii, and was ranked at the top of the USSF surfing competitions as a young competitor who turned pro in the early 2000s.

A celebration of life “Paddle Out” will be at Bob Hall Pier, Corpus Christi, Saturday, Sept. 13. Ryan is survived by his father Rich, and family, sister Christina and family, sister Cheryl and family, uncle Clint and family, aunt Trudy and uncle Don Kampa, of Boerne, along with his nieces, cousins, and many friends.
