BOERNE — The Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets of Samuel V. Champion High School earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards,” the highest rating attainable, during their March 19 assessment.
Evaluators commended the program and stating, “Col. Michael J. Colvard (ret.) and C.M.Sgt Antonio J. Goldstrom (ret.) created a dynamic and supportive learning environment coupled with excellent community outreach.”
The instructors provided outstanding leadership, the assessment stated, in administering the cadet centered citizenship program.
The Champion cadets “performed exceptionally well and took great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals.”
The Champion Air Force Junior ROTC citizenship program “is making a positive impact on the cadets, the school, and the surrounding community,” it concluded.
