The Comfort baseball season came to an end this week after the Bobcats were bounced from the 3A playoffs by Wall in the first round.

There’s no shame in losing to the Hawks team, which entered the postseason ranked No 3 in the state. Comfort and Wall played a doubleheader Wednesday in Brownwood, and the Hawks closed out the series in one day with a pair of run rule victories.

Wall took the first game, 11-1, in six innings and after a 30-minute break, the Hawks closed out the series with a 14-2 victory in four and half innings in Game 2.

Comfort ends the year at 10-14 overall.

For more on the series with Wall, see the Wednesday online edition of the Boerne Star.
