Geneva School of Boerne sent one athlete – Brady Chandler – to last week’s TAPPS state track and field meet held in Waco.

Chandler was entered in three events – the pole vault, long jump and the 100-meter dash – and medaled in the pole vault and scored points in all three events.

Chandler cleared 14-6 in the pole vault for second place and a silver medal, while scoring 8 team points. The junior came in 4th in the long jump with a leap of 21-02.25 for 5 points and he posted an 11.28 in the 100-meter dash for 5th place to rack up 4 more points.

Geneva or Team Chandler tallied 17 total points to help the Eagles tie for 17th place with Vanguard College Prep.

Chandler’s measurement in the long jump of 21-02.25 set a new school record, while he already owns the school records in the 100 (11.07) and pole vault (15-02).

San Antonio’s Holy Cross won the boys 4A title with 111 points, Pantego Christian came in 2nd with 88 points and Trinity Christian placed 3rd with 54 points.
