Nine Deer softball players picked as all-district in 2025

The Comfort High softball team had nine softball players named all-district.

Freshman Taygan Rust and junior Kippy Sterling were named to the first team, while junior Ella Thiele, junior Kaydence Stehling and junior Jordan Judkins landed on the second team.

Senior Hope Van Geffen, junior Anna Munoz, freshman Bella Hernandez and sophomore Moorea Davis were all selected as honorable mention.

Comfort finished the year at 6-20 overall and went 3-7 in district. The Deer tied with Florence for fourth place in the 5-3A standings and split their two league contests, so they had to break the tie with a play-in game at Blanco.

Comfort outhit the Lady Buffs, 11-7, but dropped the game to Florence, 15-10, to end their season.
