Samantha Morganroth admittedly has worn many hats since her January 2024 arrival at Das Greenhaus, the business incubator that aids entrepreneurs in developing their vision into reality.

Morganroth is going to need a larger hat rack now, having accepted the position of program manager for the two-year-old business support organization.

She officially stepped into her new role in May 2025.

Das Greenhaus opened its doors to budding businessmen and women in June 2023, with Justin McKenzie spearheading the effort as its interim program manager. McKenzie stepped away in March of this year, deeply involved in several other entrepreneurial support systems, leaving program coordinator Morganroth at the helm.

“It’s a big step, but it’s very exciting,” Morganroth said. “My priority has been taking care of our people.

“When I came on, I knew it was never his (Justin’s) intention to stay here forever,” she said. “When I arrived, I felt like I was always learning and training for that moment.”

Das GreenHaus is a 501(c)(3) public-private non-profit located in a 4,800 square-foot facility on Upper Balcones Road. Its mission is to foster the community of innovators to grow Kendall County’s entrepreneurial vision. Das GreenHaus offers space, services and education that entrepreneurs and startup companies need to succeed.

Das GreenHaus, Morganroth said, is built for the early-stage entrepreneur looking to start or grow a business in Kendall County.

“We offer mentorship, resources, build connections within the community, help them to think strategically and set goals ... then get out in the community and become a lifelong business here in Kendall County,” she said.

But Das GreenHaus was never created to become business partners or to enter into any long-term management structure or profit-sharing roles.

“Our goal isn’t to be actively involved in the life of the business — we provide those resources, provide those mentorships, those connections to help them make it, to achieve their goals to their satisfaction,” she said.

A graduate of Trinity University, she holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in education and brings valuable expertise and insight to the organization.

Das GreenHaus Board Member Amy Story said, “Samantha’s strong operational skills, relationship-building mindset and dedication to the next iteration of Das GreenHaus and its programs make her the perfect choice to assume the role of Program Manager.”

Melody Mabry Touchon also joined the Das GreenHaus team this month as program coordinator. She brings a wealth of experience as both an entrepreneur and a nonprofit professional.

Touchon will play an important role in supporting daily incubator operations, contributing to creative strategy, assisting with marketing and communications, coordinating events and engaging with members.

“We look forward to adding more resources to support entrepreneurs who choose Kendall County as the place to start and grow their business,” Story added.
