University of Texas softball player Leighann Goode holds the national championship trophy after the Longhorns won this year’s NCAA title over Texas Tech at Devon Field in Oklahoma City last week. Goode, an O’Connor graduate, hit a 3-run homer in the final game to help clinch the title, and as the starting shortstop, she also threw out the final Tech runner at first base to end the game.
