The Hill Country Comets youth track and field team, based in Boerne and Wimberley, is winding down a great summer.
Members of the Comets have been involved in several track and field meets, and several of the athletes have qualified for either the AAU Junior Olympics or the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation state meet. In some cases, athletes have qualified for both the Junior Olympics and the TAAF state meets.
The AAU Junior Olympics will be held July 26-Aug. 2, in Humble, while the TAAF state meet is scheduled for July 31 – Aug. 3 in College Station.
