Trying to hide ‘The List’
Editor, Something unexpected is happening on the right. Some MAGA extremists inside the Trump cult (aka, the Republican party) are questioning their dear leader’s ineffective efforts to make the Epstein matter magically vanish.
After months of vowing to release the Epstein files — in particular, the “client list” — Trump and his lackies are now desperately trying to change the subject without releasing said files.
This has infuriated many of MAGA’s most influential top dogs and risks tearing the MAGA alliance asunder.
As Jennifer Rubin, founder of the Substack “The Contrarian” has noted: “Once the MAGA GOP is seen as the party that protects rich, creepy, abusive, elite men at the expense of everyone else, they will be recognized for the villains they once claimed Democrats to be.
“After all, a deep-state cover-up of sexual predators who victimized children should be the final straw for all but the most deluded Trump cultists.”
(See “Pizzagate,” that rightwing conspiracy theory that falsely claimed Hillary Clinton and other Democrats were running a child sex-trafficking ring out of the basement of a pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C.)
Makes me wonder how many Trump voters in these parts will regret and publicly refute their vote. My guess is ... not many.
