Comfort baseball players at Missions fundraiser

Comfort High’s Dax Stehling (9) shakes hands with Spurs legend Manu Ginobili Saturday at Wolff Stadium before the Missions game, while his teammates wait their turn. The four-time NBA champion threw out the first pitch before Saturday’s game that was used as a fundraiser for Hill Country schools affected by the recent floods. The players wore replica jerseys representing the high schools from Comfort, Ingram, Center Point and Kerrville Tivy. The players signed the jerseys afterwards and they were auctioned off after the game to help raise money for the cause. For more on the event, see the Boerne Star. Star photo by Kerry Barboza
