Geneva School of Boerne was entered in the Wimberley Tex-Fest volleyball tournament last weekend and played nine matches over three days and went 5-4 at the event.
The Eagles lost to Liberty Christian, 25-20, 25-17, were swept by Needville, 25-12, 25-20, and fell to Glen Rose, 25-12, 25-12.
On the next day, Geneva picked up a sweep over Legacy Ranch, 25-21, 25-18, and also defeated Luling and Gainsville.
Up next, the Eagles rocked Round Rock Christian Academy, 25-17, 25-18, and then defeated Tuloso-Midway in three sets, 25-22, 22-25, 20-18.
From there, Geneva faced Glen Rose once again and the Lady Tigers were able to beat the Eagles for the second time at the tourney but this time Geneva took a set off Glen Rose. The Tigers won the match, 25-18, 20-25, 25-8.
Geneva is 6-4 overall and hosted Johnson City Tuesday for its home opener.
