Boerne High
The Greyhounds were at home and faced Pieper to open the season.
Friday's game contained six ties or lead changes before the Warriors pulled ahead 35-28 with two minutes left. The Greyhounds were driving and had the ball deep in Warriors territory.
From there, Pieper turned Boerne away by stripping the ball and then recovering a fumble with only a few seconds left to secure the win.
The 0-1 Hounds travel to Laredo Thursday to take on Laredo United.
Boerne Champion
The Chargers made their border run Friday and defeated Laredo United South, 58-10.
It was 37-3 at halftime before the Chargers outscored the Panthers in the second half, 21-7.
Champion, 1-0, is at Medina Valley Friday to take on another Panthers team.
Geneva School of Boerne
The Eagles held off a late charge by San Antonio Christian and defeated the Lions, 28-21.
Friday's victory gives Geneva's Bob Rosenstiel his first victory as the Eagles head coach.
Geneva, 1-0, is at La Pryor Friday.
Comfort High
The Bobcats were at home and didn't have too many problems with Brackett.
Comfort was down 8-7 but scored the next 36 points to open up a 36-7 score by the end of the third quarter before putting the game away, 43-19.
The Cats had five players tally rushing touchdowns in the game.
CHS, 1-0, is at Dilley to take on the Wolves Friday.
