Geneva volleyball labors on Labor Day weekend to take second place at Johnson City tournament

Geneva School of Boerne played in the Johnson City volleyball tournament and advanced to the finals where they finished second at the event.

The Eagles won five straight games before suffering their only loss in the championship game against host Johnson City.

Geneva defeated Jarrell, Del Valle, D’Hanis, Comfort and Marion to advance to the championship match where they faced Johnson City.

The Eagles from JC defeated the Eagles from Geneva to win the title. It’s Johnson City’s second win over Geneva this year.

Geneva is 16-7 overall this year and hosted Veritas Tuesday before playing in the Castle Hills tournament this weekend for their final tourney of the season.
