The Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team picked up its first district win Tuesday at home.
After suffering league losses to Schertz John Paul II and Holy Cross via sweeps, the Eagles bounced back Tuesday and defeated New Braunfels Christian in four sets.
Geneva is 27-10 overall and 1-2 in district.
Prior to Tuesday’s match, the Eagles were entered in the St. Luke’s tournament where they won the silver bracket.
Geneva swept four teams, Austin Savio, the Lions, Austin Veritas and First Baptist. Their only loss came to St. Michael’s after the Austin school defeated the Eagles in straight sets.
The Eagles resumed district action at Corpus Christi John Paul II Thursday and then visited TMI – Episcopal Friday for a non-district match.
