The Pieper volleyball team handed Boerne Champion its second straight setback after the Lady Warriors defeated the Lady Chargers on Tuesday, 25-18, 27-25, 25-17.
Champion slips to 4-2 in district and 19-4 overall. The Chargers were coming off a four-set loss to Boerne High and things don’t get any easier for the Chargers which hosted district-frontrunner New Braunfels Friday. They’ll visit Wagner Tuesday to close out the first round.
NOTES: Against the Lady Greyhounds, Taylor Fenton finished with 12 kills, Cassidy Breuer added 11 kills and Brielle Boothe
