Boerne High kicked off the second round of district volleyball play by hosting district-leading and stateranked New Braunfels Friday at Greyhound Gym.
The No. 8 ranked Unicorns went on to defeat the Lady Greyhounds in straight sets to remain perfect in 26-5A after the Lady Unicorns won, 25-14, 25-20, 25-13.
BHS is 18-11 overall and 2-7 in district. The Lady Hounds hosted Wagner on Tuesday and then welcome Kerrville Tivy on Friday.
In last Friday’s match, Paige Stegall finished with 10 kills to pace BHS, while Ava Seamans added 7 kills. Stegall also dropped in 2 aces and came up with 3 blocks, while Mikinley Schmidt recorded 3 blocks as well.
Cameron Keller finished with 12 assists and Molly McCormick added 10 assists, while Kynsie Jones recorded 28 digs. Haley Wheeler totaled 20 digs and Kiley Coffland came up with 11 digs.
