SAN ANTONIO – Boerne High water polo teams continued district action last Saturday.
The Greyhounds played Marshall and Clark in boys and girls action and close out their season Saturday with matches against Brandeis and Boerne Champion.
Neither Greyhound squad made the playoffs this year in only their second year of water polo, but the teams are much improved and heading in the right direction, according to coach Brandon Cheves.
Boerne picked up a win on the boys side after Marshall didn’t have enough players to field a team, so it goes down as a forfeit victory.
In its other match, the BHS boys were defeated by Clark, 23-2, to stand at 2-6 in district and 3-14 overall.
On the girls side, the Lady Greyhounds almost picked up a win against Marshall. It was tied 8-8 with 1:20 left in the match, but the Lady Rams tallied the final goal to win it, 9-8.
In their other match, the Lady Greyhounds fell to Clark, 18-3. They are 0-8 in district and 2-13 overall.
