The Boerne Champion volleyball team took care of another district opponent in three sets in second-round action after going five games with them in the first round.
On Tuesday, the Lady Chargers defeated visiting Veterans Memorial in straight sets, 25-17, 25-16, 25-16.
The Chargers did the same thing with Kerrville Tivy in their previous match. The Antlers took Champion to five games in the first round, but the Chargers swept them on Sept. 26.
Champion is 22-5 overall and 7-3 in district. They were at Smithson Valley Friday and are off Tuesday.
Taylor Fenton had a big match and finished with 14 kills and 4 blocks, while Cassidy Breuer was also in double-digit kills with 11.
Aleah Ramirez dropped in 3 aces, Finley Weikle added 2 aces, Brielle Boothe moved to the libero spot and led the team in digs with 14, while Hannah Perez came up with 13 digs and Brady Cooksey tallied 32 assists.
