Lady Greyhounds defeat Wagner via sweep

Boerne High completed the season sweep over Wagner in 26-5A volleyball with a win at Greyhound Gym Tuesday night.

The Lady Hounds claimed the victory, 25-15, 25-12, 25-15, and improved to 19-11 overall and 3-7 in district. Two of their three 26-5A wins have come against Wagner, while the other came against Boerne Champion.

BHS continued district play Friday against Kerrville Tivy at home. The first-round meeting between Boerne and Kerrville was moved to Tivy after there were electrical programs at Greyhound Gym.

BHS hosted Friday’s match but it was homecoming in Kerrville, so they moved up the start time up to 5 p.m. to accommodate the Antlers.

After playing the Antlers Friday, the Hounds host Veterans Memorial on Tuesday.

Everybody played for Boerne in Tuesday’s match and the team was led in kills by Ava Seamans with 8, while Paige Stegall added 7 kills.

Kynsie Jones and Seamans finished with 3 aces each, Bella Pettett had a block, Haley Wheeler added 10 digs, while Cameron Keller tallied 20 assists and Molly McCormick recorded 13 assists.
