Comfort and Geneva volleyball teams both drop district matches

Ingram Tom Moore won the battle of unbeaten District 5-3A volleyball teams in last Friday’s match at Comfort.

The Lady Warriors claimed the victory in four sets, 25-11, 26-24, 23-25, 25-19. Ingram stays perfect at 5-0 in league play and Comfort slips to second place in the standings at 3-1.

Comfort is 22-12 overall and the Deer are on the road for their next four matches. On Tuesday they visited Brady and are at Blanco Friday.

After that, they are at Llano and then have their rematch with Ingram.

Geneva School of Boerne 

The Eagles opened the second round of district play last Thursday on the road at Schertz John Paul II and fell to the Guardians.

JP II won the contest in straight sets, 25-23, 25-23, 25-19. The Eagles slip to 30-13 overall and stand at 3-4 in district.

Geneva hosted Holy Cross on Tuesday and play New Braunfels Christian on Thursday.
