SAN ANTONIO – Boerne High closed out its water polo season last Saturday with matches against Brandeis and Champion.
It’s the second year for the Greyhounds to participate in the sport, and they’re heading in the right direction, according to coach Brandon Cheves.
“We’ve made a lot of improvements from last year to this year,” Cheves said.
The BHS boys lost to Brandeis, 23-1, and were then defeated by Boerne Champion, 23-3, last Saturday.
Boerne finished the season with a record of 3-14 overall and went 2-8 in district.
Besides playing Champion and Brandeis, the Lady Greyhounds picked up an extra match last Saturday and faced Holmes in a non-district contest.
Holmes won 14-4, Brandeis recorded a 23-1 victory and the Lady Chargers defeated the Lady Hounds, 23-3.
The Boerne girls finished the season at 2-16 overall and went 0-10 in district.
