A 310-acre slice of Kendall County land along the Guadalupe River will soon become the county’s newest park. The county’s $11.25 million purchase of the Guadalupe River Ranch on FM 474 provides a “Blue Trail” system that will allow county residents to slip into the Guadalupe and enjoy a two-hour float downstream to the Kreutzberg Canyon Natural Area, another county- owned park. A beautiful 700-800 square-foot BnB is one of two existing structures on the property, which county officials estimate to have cleared, retooled and readied for a summer 2027 opening. See Sunday’s Boerne Star for a complete wrap and a photo tour of the soonto-be county park.
