COMFORT – A scoreless first quarter hurt the Comfort girls basketball team Tuesday when the Deer hosted Ingram Moore.
Comfort was held without a point in the first quarter, and the Lady Warriors took advantage and went on to defeat the Deer in Tuesday’s district game, 46-12.
CHS is in fifth place (2-6), but only one game behind fourth-place Brady (3-5) with two games left heading into Friday. They were at Llano Friday and host Brady on Tuesday and will likely have to beat the Bulldogs to have a shot at the postseason.
Comfort tallied 6 points in the second, 2 in the third and closed it out with 4 in the final stanza.
Ingram netted 7, 10, 15 and 14 in four quarters of work on Tuesday.
Alexa Lozano and Emily Padilla scored 3 points, while Anahi Martinez, Ryan Farrell and Karina Flores all netted 2.
Vs. Blanco
Blanco defeated the Comfort girls last week, 37-17.
