New GOP precinct chair chosen

BOERNE — Kendall County Republican Precinct Chair Art Humphries from Pleasant Valley (46E) is stepping down, turning the duties over to Cordillera Ranch resident Nancy Shields.

Shields, a former journalist and newspaperwoman, and a longtime organizational executive, currently serving as executive director of Texas Consumer Finance Association.

Her new responsibility to more than 2,700 residents covers a large part of Cordillera Ranch, Coveney Ranch, Pleasant Valley, George’s Ranch and the entire side of east Amman Road.

There are 17 voting precincts in Kendall County with 39,420 (as of November 2025) registered voters represented by Republican and Democratic chairs and supporting precinct captains.
