New ‘Bubbletime Bookworms’ schedule
Calling all families with babies and toddlers: Bubbletime Bookworms Storytime has updated its schedule, to every Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m.
If you haven’t joined us yet, now is the perfect time to join the fun. Bubbletime Bookworms provides a wonderful opportunity to meet other families with little ones while introducing your baby or toddler to songs, stories and early literacy skills.
After storytime, stick around for a delightful bubble show, followed by a relaxed stay-and-play time where kids can explore and parents can connect.
NOTE: There will be no Storytime on Friday, March 6, as the library will be closed for staff development day. We’ll be back with more storytime fun at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 12
Spring break
During spring break March 9-13, our regular youth programs will be on pause. But we’ve still got something special for you: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a creative take-home craft.
This Art-to-Go kit is perfect for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Pick up your St. Patrick’s Day Art-to-Go at the Youth Desk during spring break week. Supplies are limited, so be sure to grab yours early In addition to a take-home craft, families are invited to visit the Youth Department during spring break to join our iSpy Game. Keep your eyes peeled as children search for a mischievous leprechaun hiding somewhere in the department. Once you spot him, stop by the desk to claim a special prize.
St. Patty’s storytime
Get ready for a lucky morning filled with stories, songs, crafts and a sweet treat as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Herff Farmers Market at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14.
Little leprechauns and their families are invited to join us for a magical storytime featuring festive fun and creative activities that will have everyone feeling the luck of the Irish. Wear your greenest outfit and come ready for a shamrockin’ good time.
Outdoor Family Fair
On Saturday, March 21 join us for outdoor family fun. Families can stop by the Main Plaza for a morning of ballet magic with the Greater San Antonio Academy of Ballet from 10-11 a.m.
