• JAZZ FRIDAY by Lost Oak Cellars. From 6-8 p.m., experience an evening of smooth jazz, fine wine, and Texas Hill Country charm at Lost Oak Cellars, 111 Rosewood Ave. Guests are invited to enjoy live music in the Tasting Room featuring Tiny Jazz. Free to attend.

• CRUISIN’ FOR A CAUSE Car Show: Join the American Heart Association and Fair Oaks Emergency Room for Cruisin’ for a Cause Car Show noon to 2 p.m. at the Fair Oaks Emergency Room, 27368 I-10 W., benefitting the American Heart Association. • MONARCH POLLINATOR FIESTA by Guadalupe River State Park: Come celebrate Monarchs as they return from Mexico. There will be family-friendly crafts and activities. Hosted at GRSP, 3350 Park Road 31. Free with park admission (Adults: $7, children 12 and under are free).

• BOERNE MARKET DAYS: The free, petfriendly family event on Market Square, 100 N. Main St., runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Includes vendors selling all sorts of products and wares, and food trucks for every taste.

• SHOE DISTRIBUTION DAY: Love Kendall County Kids has its shoe drive distribution today, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at its location, 316 W. Highland Drive. They continue to collect new “and gently used” shoes for children through age 17, up to the day of the event.

• POT O GOLD Party: Little adventurers are invited to a playful gold coin hunt at Arrow’s Active Play Park, 3 Kelton Ave., from 10-11 a.m. Children will explore the indoor park in search of hidden treasures, with a special treat waiting for those who strike gold. Contact: 830-428-2550.

• ADULT NIGHT HIKE: Explore The Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road, after dark on a Sunset Night Hike for Adults from 7:30-9 p.m., featuring longer routes on lesser-known trails, and time without flashlights to observe nocturnal wildlife. Cost is $15 per adult.

• GOLDEN EGG HUNT: Event is designed for the whole family. Several participating businesses will have hidden Easter Egg cutouts. After 10 or more eggs are found, turn in your information for chance at the Golden Egg. This event will be March 20 and 21 along the Hill Country Mile in downtown Boerne.

• TAILS ON TRAIL 5K: Hosted by Hill Country Animal League, ‘Tails on the Trail’ is a fundraising dog-friendly 1K/3K fun run beginning at Main Plaza, 100 S. • LIVE FIRE COOKING class: Attendees will learn different methods of starting fire with wood or lump charcoal, how to manage coals and learn temps for cooking different foods. • DEMOCRATIC COUNTY CONVENTION: The Kendall County Democratic Party will hold its County Convention at 1:15 p.m. at the Heath Library, 451 N.
