Boerne Champion scored two runs in its first at bat but didn't score after that, while Boerne High tallied seven runs from the fourth through sixth innings and went on to defeat the Chargers, 7-2.

Jackson Grimes went all seven innings on the hill and picked up the win on 104 pitches at Charger Field. He struck out six, walked two and gave up three hits but hurt Champion just as much with his bat after the UTSA signee made it safely on base four times and smacked two doubles and walked twice.
