Cross country opens season, while tennis and water polo teams are also in action

Several cross-country teams were in action last week to open their 2026 season.

Champion and Boerne High runners were at the Friday Night Lights meet last Friday in San Antonio, while Comfort and Geneva were also in action.

The Chargers tennis team opened district play at home last Thursday against John Jay and rolled to a lopsided victory. They also played Eagle pass on Saturday.

After having the weekend off, the Boerne High tennis team was back on the court against San Angelo Central in Mason on Tuesday, while the Geneva tennis team also played last week.

Champion’s water polo boys and girls teams played in the Texas Cup in Lewisville last weekend and the Greyhounds played Johnson at Davis Natatorium.

The Charger and Greyhound water polo teams meet this Friday to open district play at the new Boerne ISD Aquatics and Learning Center.
