Geneva plays at Johnson City volleyball tourney

Geneva School of Boerne was entered in the Johnson City tournament and posted a 4-4 record at the event.

The Eagles hosted TMI – Episcopal on Tuesday and will visit Blanco on Friday.

At the tourney, Comfort beat the San Antonio Saints, the Johnson City JV, Ingram and Del Rio. They fell to FEAST, New Braunfels Thunder, Fredericksburg and Johnson City. NB Thunder ended up winning the whole thing.

It was their fourth time playing Johnson City this year after they played them in the consolation bracket last weekend.

Geneva beat the SA Saints, 25-21, 25-14, 25-21, defeated the Johnson City JV, 25-11, 25-4, swept Ingram, 25-16, 25-23, and took care of Del Rio in straight sets, 25-16, 25-17.

Geneva’s losses came to FEAST, 25-22, 20-25, 17- 25, 14- 25, New Braunfels Thunder, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23, and Fredericksburg, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19, before falling to Johnson City for the fourth time this year. The Eagles of JC won in straight sets over the Eagles of Geneva.
