Boerne Champion picked up a couple of non-district wins and a district victory in team tennis to claim its last three matches and push its record to 10-1 overall and 2-0 in district.
The Chargers defeated Harlandale last week in a district match, 10-0, before playing two non- district matches. Champion hosted Pieper on Friday and won, 13-4, and then tangled with Antonian Tuesday at home and earned the 15-4 victory over the Apaches.
Champion plays McCollum on Sept. 15 and then closes out district with a couple of tough opponents. They’ll visit Boerne High on Sept. 22 and then host Alamo Heights on Sept. 29.
After that, they’ll host Johnson and begin the playoffs in October.
