Greyhound water polo teams open district play

The water polo teams from Boerne High were in action last week as they began district play on Friday and Saturday.

BHS tangled with cross-town rival Boerne Champion on Friday and then played a district match Saturday against Clark in San Antonio. They also picked up a non-district match against Harlan on Saturday at the Northside Natatorium.

In the boys match last Friday, Champion beat the Greyhounds, 20-4, and then BHS fell to Clark on Saturday, 17-1. In their non-district match, the Hounds lost to Harlan, 17-6, and are 0-6 overall (0-2 in district).

On the girls side, the Lady Hounds fell to the Chargers 19-10 and then lost to Clark 25-9. Harlan won their non-district match over the BHS girls on Saturday, 20-9. Boerne is 1-5 overall (0-2 in district).

Both Greyhound teams continued district action this Saturday at Northside against Health Careers and Brandeis.
