Boerne Champion had two baseball players recognized as all-state by the Texas Sports Writers Association.
Rowdy Miller and Jordan Ballin were named to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association 5A All-State Team released this week.
Miller, who just graduated from Champion, was a third-team all-state pitcher and started the year at 12-0 before suffering his first loss in the season.
Ballin just finished up his junior year and was an honorable mention all-state shortstop. Ballin is a two-sport athlete and is also the starting quarterback for the Charger football team.
Champion just capped its best season in school history with a regional title and an appearance at the 5A state tournament in Round Rock where they earned bronze medals.
