Members of the Boerne High football team work on blocking drills during the first day of practice at Boerne Middle School North Monday night. Comfort, Geneva and the Champion freshman football squads also hit the field Monday, while the Charger varsity team has to wait a week since they held spring practice last May. Volleyball, cross country, tennis and Champion water polo were allowed to practice as well on Monday as the new school year approaches.
