APRIL 30: INTAGLIO printmaking (part 2). MAY 7: JEWELRY components. The second part of this basic components class will work on clasps, bails and connectors, using traditional jewelers’ tools and non-ferrous wire. Explore wire gauge, metal hardness and finishing. Join beads with connecting components to fabricate a necklace or bracelet. MAY 14: NEEDLE felt mandala. A primitive art form from Panama uses organic imagery and bold colors. Class will attach the shapes through the process of needle felting. Yarn, wool fiber and Kunin felt are fused together to produce a stunning showpiece.
