Friday Night Football Scores, 9-27

Boerne Champion

The Chargers and the Matadors were in a shootout with Seguin winning 73-66.

The teams combined for 19 touchdowns and 139 points as the Chargers drop to 0-2 in district and 3-2 overall. They are off Friday and play Oct. 11. 

Boerne High

Both the Mules and Greyhounds hadn't dropped a district game since 2019 but Heights kept the streak alive by defeating the Greyhounds 35-28.

Boerne is 2-3 and 0-1 in district. BHS is off and won't play again until Oct. 11 against Harlandale. 

Geneva School of Boerne

The Eagles blew away Schertz John Paul II in Friday's district opener in Boerne, 48-8.

Geneva is 1-0 in district and 3-2 overall. They visit Holy Cross Friday. 

Comfort High

The Bobcats are still playing non-district games and visited Llano Friday night.

After six lead changes, the Yellowjackets took the lead for good and went on to post a 37-23 victory.

Comfort is 2-3 overall and hosts Bandera for homecoming Friday.
