Nora Merian Milligan

Nora Merian Milligan

Nora Merian Milligan, 11, was born Feb. 13, 2011, in Fort Meade, Maryland. She died on Sept. 9, 2022, in Elk Mills, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her brother, Conor Davin, on September 3, 2019. Nora was joined immediately by her mother, Tara Davina Ricker Milligan, and other siblings: Teresa Brigid and Finn Ricker. She is survived by her grandparents, David and Pauline Ricker and Michael and Merian Milligan and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her beloved cats, Max, Frisco, Felix, Figaro and Molly as well as her devoted dog, Ransom.

Nora, as the second born child, loved her siblings very much. She was particularly close with her sister, Teresa. Nora had a great love for animals. She especially adored cats, doting on her own often, and horses. She was enjoying drama classes. Nora was well spoken and could express herself very clearly. Recently, she was able to speak to her church congregation in sacrament meeting. She did so with poise and clearly expressed her sweet testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Nora genuinely loved to play the piano and practiced every day without complaint. She took pride in her progress and was excited to show off her skills at every opportunity. She was an enthusiastic soccer player and was looking forward to her first game this season.

Nora was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Feb. 16, 2019. She was looking forward to participating with her sister in the Young Women’s Organization in January.
