Lady Hounds end first round of district perfect

The Boerne High girls soccer team closed out the first round of district play with a road victory at Canyon Lake.

BHS beat the Hawks 3-0 last Friday and is 6-0 in district. The Lady Greyhounds are 15-2 overall and kicked off the second round of district at Fredericksburg on Tuesday.

Friday’s match was tied at 0-0 through most of the first half but the Lady Hounds found the back of the net right before halftime on a Taylor Hudson goal on a Hannah Bowen cross pass that Kylie Combs tapped to Hudson before she knocked it in for the 1-0 lead with 4 minutes before the break.
