Seniors at Geneva School of Boerne write and defend a thesis as the last step toward graduation. The senior thesis is a dissertation in which the student advances an original point of view, typically on a controversial topic. Seniors begin the academic year by selecting a topic with help from their faculty adviser. Geneva School awards top students in Logic and Rhetoric Schools
Geneva School of Boerne recognizes the most outstanding Rhetoric School students each school year. The Aquila Award recognizes the male and female student who best represent the goals and ideals of Geneva School. Seniors Austin Malkowski and Hailey Hubenak were selected by the Rhetoric School faculty and given the esteemed Aquila Award (“Aquila” is Latin for “eagle”). An eagle statuette was given to these students at the Closing Assembly by Headmaster Dirk Russell and their names are recorded on perpetual plaques in the administration building. Geneva School honors outstanding teachers
Geneva School of Boerne recognizes the most outstanding teachers of the year with the Paideia Award. (“Paideia” is Greek for “education”). This award is made possible in part thanks to Texas Heritage Bank. This year, Rhetoric School teacher Brian Odom, Logic School teacher Morgan Brown and Grammar School teacher Tonya Fikes were selected by their peers to receive this esteemed award.
