Van Raub Elementary School played host to its Fiesta Fair last Friday after school as children and adults were invited to partake in the activities, which included games, carnival rides, auctions and food. One of the activities was a dunk tank in which children could throw a ball at a target in an attempt to dunk a teacher or other community member. One such dunkee was Van Raub first-grade teacher Krista Kimball, who survived a half-hour in the tank, as well as the throws of youngsters, including Mitchell McVickeo (top). Kimball put on a good act for the children and encouraged them to take good aim before they threw. She also said the tank water was very cold. Star photos by Keith E. Domke 04/08/2022 12:00 AM
