Thomas ‘Rocky’ Rocchio

Thomas “Rocky” Harrell Rocchio of Concan, Texas, died June 4, 2025, in San Antonio. He was born in Wichita Falls to the late Clarence “Rocky” and Mary Harrell.

Rocky attended Texas A&I University, where he met and married Linda Jo Erekson in 1965. They moved to the Rio Grande Valley, where Rocky started his construction business, General Services.

Rocky served as the mayor of Edcouch, Texas, a Boy Scout Master, and held various leadership roles in the community. He was honored with several awards by the Boy Scouts of America.

In 1997, Rocky and Linda moved to Concan, Texas, where they started a vacation rental business. Rocky continued his community service as the fire chief of the Concan Volunteer Fire Department and held other local leadership positions.

Rocky is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda; two sons, Leland Harrell (Brenda) Rocchio and Collin (Brandi) Rocchio; two sisters, Melissa Rocchio Stinger and Laura Rocchio; his cousin Moonyeen Harrell Reynolds; and six grandchildren, Vic Leon Hicks, Ethan Hicks, Mary Rocchio, Hannah Rocchio, Ava Rocchio and Mia Rocchio.

A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Concan Baptist Mission, 23711 N. Hwy. 83 in Concan, Texas, followed by burial at 2 p.m. at the Boerne Cemetery, 820 N. School St. In Boerne.
