    First responders from Kendall and Bexar County turned out Wednesday to pay tribute to the half-dozen Kendall County Sheriff's Office employees -- and Boerne Police Department K9 officer, Chico -- who have died in the line of duty. Kendall County Sheriff Al Auxier, Boerne Police Chief Steve Perez, Kendall County Judge Shane Stolarczyk, and Nineteen:ten Church Pastor Jason Brown offered words, proclamations and prayer for those who gave their lives in the line of duty, and for all law enforcement and first responders who continue to answer that call today, and tomorrow.

    A slow-moving arctic front dropped temperatures ahead of snow flurries Monday night into Tuesday morning, leaving residents with a coating of powdery snow Tuesday morning. Warmer temperatures later Tuesday removed most of the white stuff from streets, lawns, porches and sidewalks.But Boerne residents pulled out their phones and cameras and committed the experience to memory, via Dropbox, Gallery, Facebook or flash drive. For six hours, thousand of attendees sampled beer from 30 breweries, browsed among the art of dozens of artists, and cheered on their favorite entrant in the Stein Holding Competition.
