Comfort High had five baseball players earn all-district awards after their performances during the 2025 season.
Two of the Bobcats earned superlatives after Mason Matt was co-MVP of the district and Gunner Carpenter was voted Newcomer of the Year.
Matt had a great junior season and batted .500 after he went 37-74 at the plate and finished with 5 doubles, 2 triples, 34 runs scored and 19 stolen bases.
Carpenter is a freshman, who finished with a .333 battling average, hit 5 doubles and collected 25 RBI.
Comfort shortstop Brooks Davis and catcher Noah Bohnert were firstteam selections.
Davis, a senior, posted a .394 batting average and scored 27 runs.
Bohnert, also a senior, finished the year with a .393 batting average, with 4 doubles.
Tucker Rust was named a second-team pitcher and the senior had a solid season on the hill and finished with a 4-1 district record.
Comfort ended its season with a record of 10-14 overall and went 5-5 in district to finish tied for third. Once the playoffs started, the Bobcats went to the 3A-DII bracket and had a tough draw to start.
The Cats faced No. 2 state-ranked Wall in a best-of-three series and were defeated in two games by the Hawks.
Wall won 11-1 and 14-2. The Hawks are still going and played in the third round this weekend.
