
Theresa Agnes Moczygemba Klar, 89, of Boerne died at her home May 9, 2025. She was born to August Frank Moczygemba and Bridget Jarzombek Moczygemba Nov. 6, 1935, in Kosciusko, Texas, the eighth of their 10 children.
Theresa was raised on the family farm. She often shared stories of her siblings, and of her picking cotton and harvesting watermelons. Theresa attended grade school in Kosciusko and graduated from Poth High School in 1954.
Following high school graduation, she moved to San Antonio and started working at Gross National Bank. After

working in San Antonio for several years, she met the love of her life, Harry James Klar. Harry and Theresa married July 30, 1960, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko. Together they lovingly raised five daughters and built a family ranch near Boerne.
Theresa adored the ranch life with Harry, along with cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family. A devout Catholic, she was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek. She valued the long-standing friendships within her bunco group.
Theresa will be fondly remembered by family, friends and neighbors for her numerous hours of volunteer work with St. Joseph’s Altar Society and the Boerne Garden Club.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Harry Klar; by her parents; and her siblings, Rosie Moczygemba Kotzur, Joe Moczygemba, Ignatz Moczygemba, Edward Moczygemba, John Moczygemba, Thomas Moczygemba, Annie Brysch, Frank Moczygemba, and August “Junior” Moczygemba.
She is survived by five daughters, Donna (David) Inman, Laurette Klar, Harriette (Tony) Frels, Elaine (Hank) Rogers and Beatrice (Mike) Casey; nine grandchildren: Kate (Brad) Beless, Hannah Frels, Emma (Jake) Bebermeyer, Abby (Jacob) Buckley, Olivia Rogers, John Rogers, Aidan Casey, Connor Casey, and Fiona Casey; four great-grandchildren: Asher, Michael, and Caleb Beless and Katherine Bebermeyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
The family will receive condolences from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek, 25781 TX-46, Spring Branch, Texas, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 20, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek. Rite of committal and interment will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery.
