BOERNE — The Crestmont Christian Preparatory School board of directors has announced the full-time hiring of its principal and vice principal for the 2025-2026 school year.
Principal Alyssa De Los Santos has been serving as interim principal at Crestmont for the past two years. Prior to her role as interim principal, De Los Santos also served Crestmont as a teacher and academic dean.
The board also introduced Dr. Suk Keller as the new vice principal. Keller has been a dedicated member of the Crestmont community for the past two years, serving as both a teacher and the department head, and academic dean.
Alyssa DeLosSantos is a wife, mother, Bible study teacher, writer and educator. She loves books, old windows and doors, clean floors, hot tea and analogies.
She graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in education and began teaching in a prominent San Antonio school district. During her tenure, she was a self-contained grade-level teacher, voted teacher of the year, a team lead, an academic support teacher, a writing specialist, and a staff development coach for district campuses.
She was selected for her first campus leadership role during her first year of teaching, and many opportunities followed. During her first years of teaching, she was trained as an ESL teacher in Capturing Kids Hearts and completed the New Jersey Writing Project intensive.
In 2018, she joined Crestmont as a high school English teacher and served as academic dean from 2019-2021. She has enjoyed 26 years of new class lists, freshly sharpened pencils, connecting with young scholars and engaging the wonder of learning.
Vice Principal Dr. Suk Keller’s family immigrated from South Korea to America when she was seven. Not knowing the language and the culture, she said she struggled to make friends.
“At 15 years old, I learned about Jesus through a young man who devoted his life to sharing the Gospel,” Keller said. “As I grew in the Lord, I felt God begin to tug at my heart to serve Him with my life.”
After high school, she went to the United States Naval Academy as the first Korean female midshipman. After completing her plebe year, she said, “I boldly decided to leave and attend a Bible school. My family disowned me for my decision, but the joy of learning about Jesus far exceeded any feelings of rejection. I continued to serve God as I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies.”
The young man who first shared Jesus with her? He became her husband and they have been married for 36 years and have three daughters who, she added, all love Jesus and want to fulfill God’s plan for their lives. The school board is excited for DeLosSantos and Keller to continue leading the Crestmont Warriors as the school moves forward in its mission to partner with parents in creating an exemplary learning environment where education serves as a conduit for discipleship.
