Fair Oaks’ Parker earn Excellence Award

Fair Oaks Ranch Communications Officer Casey Parker was awarded the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) 2025 Award of Excellence in the electronic newsletter/ magazine category for the city’s outstanding e-newsletter.

Judged by a panel of communications professionals from outside Texas, the TAMIO Awards recognize excellence in municipal information dissemination across the state.

The competition included nearly 700 entries from cities, towns and special districts competing in categories ranging from video to social media to publications.

The Award of Excellence in e-newsletter acknowledges top-tier performance in engaging residents through digital newsletters.

Under Parker ’ s leadership, the city’s e-newsletter has become a vital communication channel, delivering timely updates, community highlights and essential city information in a polished, accessible format.

Judges cited several aspect worth note:

• Clear design and readability: Consistent layout, engaging visuals.

• Relevant and impactful content: Combining city news, services and human-interest stories.

• Consistent delivery schedule: Fostering resident trust and engagement.

• Measurable results: Including high open- and click-through rates.

“This award underscores the City’s dedication to transparent, high-quality communication with our residents” Mayor Greg Maxton said. “Casey has done a remarkable job of bringing our community together through this newsletter.”

The award was presented during the TAMIO Annual Conference banquet in Fort Worth on June 5, 2025.
