The Boerne Champion swim program had four relays and four individuals earn National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-America honors.
To be an NISCA All-American, a high school relay or individual swimmer’s time must be in the top 100 nationally based in the last school year.
Nine Chargers made up the four relays – two boys and two girls relays – while three members on those relays – one girl and two boys - earned individual All-American honors.
Those Champion swimmers who were named All-American are Karly Whitehead, Kate Canales, Cameron Kellogg and Cora Skoog on the girls side, while Bexon Harrison, Will Harrison, Will Tolar, Ethan Altermatt and Owen Altermatt were named All-American on the boys side.
Champion swim coach Scott Slay said it’s an honor to work with such talented athletes.
“I can’t say enough about the character and work ethic of the Champion kids. They drive to be the best and feed off each other,” he said. “It is an absolute pleasure to get to work with these kids. They have built the foundation for the future of one of the best aquatic programs in the state of Texas.”
The Champion girls won the 5A state title last February and hope to repeat in 2026.
The following swimmers were named NISCA All-Americans for the Chargers. Also listed are times and where that ranks them nationally:
