• ‘HILL COUNTRY’S GOT Talent’: The ninth annual “Hill Country’s Got Talent” event is slated for 7 p.m. at the Jones Event Center, 43360 IH-10 West (a.k.a, the Jones Christmas Ranch). • BOERNE BOOK FESTIVAL: Come to the Heath Library from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a day of author discussion panels, book signings and literary fun. Featured authors include Bryan Burrough, Stephen Harrigan and Kazu Kibuishi; author panel discussions include “Obsessed With Texas,”“Texas Folklore Society” and “Les Dames d’Escoffier.” Author signings are held throughout the day; favorite vendors such as Texas Tech University Press, Trinity University Press and UT Press return.
